The first part of this week I took away on a private prayer retreat. I reserved a "hermitage" on the wooded grounds of The Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Frankfort, IL. Oh. Yes. You're right. Also known as a, ahem, nunnery.

Oh never mind.

It was actually a more serious time for me. Just two nights, but time to pray, speak to nobody except God, read scripture, walk through the woods. Maybe I'll have some more things to say about that as I reflect on the experience.
